The interactive world of Springfield is relatively big, though not quite as big as say GTA: Vice City, and it includes everything from the cemetery, the Simpson's home, the power plant, Moe's, the Quick-E-Mart and more. ![]() Each has a vehicle of some kind he or she is best apt to drive. Players begin as Homer and find themselves able to walk out the door of the Simpson's house, run around jacking cars, running things over for money, getting chased by the police and smacking into people. There are seven levels Bart and Homer have two, everyone else has only one. The simpsons Hit and Run lets you play as all four simpsons, and Apu. Mostly if you are a fan of the series like I am. Hit and run is a simpsons game that is actually very good. Taking the winning Rockstar formula and giving Hit & Run a Grand Theft Auto-style makeover, Radical Entertainment has managed to create a Simpsons title which is fun to play, contains solid gameplay, and features all the wry humour of the TV show. I happened to have an old copy lying around. UPDATE: For people asking on how to play this game: You need a physical disc (CD-ROM) for the game to run properly on PC. However, with perhaps the sole exception of Konami’s 1991 arcade action game, The Simpsons. Structured in much the same way as Grand Theft Auto, Simpsons Hit & Run is a mission-based adventure, with seven levels containing seven primary missions in each, which are assigned to a set character (you can play as Homer, Bart, Lisa and Marge, and Kwik-E-Mart owner Apu gets a mission too). ![]()
